About the Southern Trichology ClinicThe Southern Trichology Clinic is for anyone,young or old,male or female,that may have hair loss or a scalp problem. During my hairdressing career, 9-10 years long, many clients that had a problem with the hair or scalp thought that they had nowhere to go for help. My goal is to provide that help and more...
So where do you go? Who do see if you have a problem with your feet? A Podiatrist right….. What about a problem with your blood? Your GP may send you to a haematologist.
So why not have someone for your hair. It is just as important as everything else!
Some problems can be signs of underlying conditions.
Let me give you an example of the importance of the trichology field… Diffuse hair loss can be caused by any number
of things such as stress (which there are many forms of) to medication, illness, or nutritional problems.
It doesn't end there.
It is important to get it diagnosed correctly and not to guess at what the cause is.
I will diagnose and give you the best solution or treatment through extensive consultation and examination of
your hair loss, breakage,or scalp problem. If you need a medical prescription I will give you the information of what
you need so your doctor can prescribe it.
The clinics policy is to ensure that the patient recieves the right
treatment/s avialable.
The consultation is done in person in a private consultation room. The Southern Trichology clinic is located at the
Feeling Good Naturally Centre in South Australia (See Contact STC for details).
During the consulation I will obtain details of nutritional history, medical history(blood tests, Medications, etc), and
other factors. The examination continues with the use of a maginifying lamp to look closer at the hair and scalp.
Collection of hair samples for microscopic examination may also be required.Hair Mineral Analysis tests are sent to Interclinical Labratories.
Improvements in treatments for problems such as psoriasis, male pattern baldness, female hair loss, and lice are numerous.
Certified trichologists must keep up to date and current with any medical or natural therapy improvement and studies.
