A Genetic Hair Problem

The genetic predispositon of some hair problems can mean that they may become active by changes in the body. This can happen at any age.

Even thought it is gentic does not mean that it cannot be controlled with an effective treatment and maintenance.

The effect that these types of conditions can have on the hair can be twisting, knotting, or even fluctuations in the diameter of the hair.

This change in hair structure can cause breakage and fragility. It will also be more susceptible to mechanical and chemical damage.

As with all these conditions the diagnosis of it is necessary by microscopic examination of the shaft.

Hair is removed at various areas of the scalp with tweezers and taken for examination.
